Two More Graphic Design Course Projects (and one for fun) completed: A YouTube Thumbnail for a Fake Travel Vlog, a Cover for a Fake Romance Novel, and a promo image for my online radio show/podcast. 
I'm really happy with the way these turned out especially the book cover since it involved a lot of color manipulation, typography textures, editing and masking.  I still have a lot to learn and need a more practice but I am enjoying myself. I may be unemployed right now but that doesn't mean my time is any less valuable. It's fun and smart to strengthen existing skills and learn new ones.

B2B/B2C Magazine Article for 422 Business Advisor

Here is an article that I wrote to grow awareness of and increase revenue for my previous employer's rental opportunities. This appeared in a local magazine (422 Business Advisor) aimed at B2B communications. I then repurposed this article as a promotional handout to be used in-house, at conferences, public appearances, info tables, schools, etc for additional B2B and B2C exposure.

Fright Night Flyer


It's almost time for Halloween! Ok, I know summer just unofficially ended but Halloween is right around the corner. It's one of my favorite times of year and I love screening scary movies at home and in the theatre. This is a flyer I created to promote some of the scary movies that are playing before and after Halloween!



Programming Newsletter Sample

Each season, we distribute a newsletter to inform members, patrons and visitors about the many movies, concerts and special events coming to the Colonial. These newsletters are mailed to patrons who have opted to receive it. It is also available at the theatre and digitally on the theatre website. Here's a look at the Spring 2019 Newsletter.

More Promo Videos

Sometimes I have to create promo spots to build buzz about events that are happening either weeks or sometimes days away from announcement. These were two such spots. This first promo video was created for a Best Picture Marathon in 2018. We had to act fast as we finalized this event less than two weeks away from its launch. It was fun to cut down clips from the various trailers to build one big trailer. We were worried that patrons would not want to sit through two days of back-to-back movies but the marathon sold out and the event was so well received that we did it again in 2019.

The next spot was to promote and explain a new film series that we created as a special benefit for Colonial Theatre Members and to showcase our rooftop deck. It is called Members Mystery Movies and the gist of it is... well, I'll let the video explain it all. Once again, I wrote, the script, edited the clip and provided the voiceover.

BOC Promo Video

Here's a brief Promo Video that I made to promote a Blue Oyster Cult concert in Spring '19. The band's crew sent a bunch of footage, I edited it down to the iconic color from (Don't Fear) The Reaper, wrote a voiceover script and then did the voice over myself (using my best classic rock DJ voice). It turned out to be a lot of fun - and the show sold out!
